Introduction

What XMEye is and what it can do — a mobile surveillance client for your DVRs, NVRs, and IP cameras on Android and iOS.

Overview

XMEye is a mobile video-surveillance client developed for our monitoring devices. It lets you watch live video, play back recordings, receive alarms, and manage device settings from your phone or tablet.

  • Android: requires Android 4.1 or later.
  • iOS: requires iOS 8.1 or later.

This manual explains how to set up and use XMEye on both platforms.

Main features

  • Watch live video over Wi-Fi or mobile data (GPRS).
  • Multiple login options: Cloud login and Local login (iOS also supports Direct login).
  • Connect by serial number, IP address, or DDNS.
  • Switch between multiple channels — up to 16 channels on Android and up to 64 channels on iOS.
  • Remote playback of video stored on the device's hard disk.
  • Add, modify, and remove devices, and configure their parameters.
  • PTZ control for pan/tilt/zoom cameras.
  • Take snapshots and make local recordings, then view them on your phone.
  • Audio monitoring and real-time two-way intercom.
  • Receive alarm notifications.
  • Configure encoding and recording settings.
