Why Does the Screen Rotate So Often?

Understand the common reasons behind frequent screen rotation on gimbal-enabled devices.

If the device supports the gimbal function, there are several possible reasons for frequent rotation:

1. Auto Rotation Function

Your device may have auto-rotation enabled for movement tracking. When you change the orientation of your device, the screen automatically rotates to adapt to the new orientation.

2. Sensor Failure

The accelerometer or gyroscope on the device may malfunction, causing the mistaken belief that the device is constantly spinning. You can try restarting the device or performing a software update to resolve the sensor failure.

3. Improper Operation

Occasionally, an unexpected finger touch or improper handheld device posture can cause the screen to rotate. Try not to touch the edge of the screen with your fingers, and keep the device in a stable position to reduce accidental screen rotation.

When the device is restarted and powered back on, the lens performs a power-on self-test and rotates — this is normal behavior.
